As January comes to a close, we are in the thick of massive recruiting shifts. Programs all over the nation are attempting to edge one another out for some of the most talented prospects on the market, and when it comes to Michigan football, things are no different. Here are three highly sought-after recruits that could wind up in the Winged Helmet.

3. Brian Robinson, edge rusher

Brian Robinson is a 6-4, 230lbs four-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. According to 247 Sports, Robinson is the No. 127 player in the nation, the No. 12 edge rusher, and the No. 5 player in Ohio.

Jim Harbaugh has been hitting Ohio hard lately, landing two early commitments among the first five commits in the 2024 class. Additionally, there are many Ohio prospects on Michigan’s current recruiting big board — something few people thought would happen two years ago.

So far, 247 has two crystal balls listed for Robinson; both crystal balls are for Michigan football. Robinson is coming out of Fitch High School in Youngstown, Ohio.

2. Jacob Oden, athlete

Jacob Oden is a 6-1, 188 lbs athlete in the 2024 class. He is listed as an athlete by significant recruiting sites, though he primarily plays defensive back. Oden is coming from Harper Woods High School in Harper Woods, MI.

According to 247 Sports, Oden is the No. 160 player nationally, the No. 16 athlete, and the No. 5 player in Michigan.

Oden currently has three crystal balls on 247, all of which are for Michigan football. Oden is a tremendous athlete and would be a massive addition to the Wolverines’ top 10 2024 recruiting class.

3. Ben Roebuck, offensive tackle

Ben Roebuck, another Ohio prospect with which the Wolverines are in the lead, is a 6-7, 320lbs offensive tackle out of St. Edward High School in Lakewood, OH. Roebuck recently visited Michigan and reportedly loved his time in Ann Arbor.

Depending on what outlet you’re using, Roebuck is either a three or four-star prospect, though, by the time his recruitment is over, I expect him to be a bona fide four-star.

According to 247, Roebuck is the No. 358 player in the 2024 class, the No. 27 offensive tackle, and the No. 15 player in Ohio. Michigan football could be pushing for Roebuck soon, and he is expected to commit later this year in the spring or summer.
