Everything Jim Harbaugh proposed has essentially come true

The former Michigan football head coach has been an advocate for players, yet the NCAA ran him off instead of punishing the cheaters.

Anyone who calls former Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh a cheater is clueless. That’s the nicest way I can say it, but you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

Most likely, you’re just jealous because he beat the crap out of your favorite football team the past few years and won the national championship — cementing his legacy as one of the great head football coaches of all time.

Beyond the fact that the NCAA helped run off the best head coach in college football, it also ran off one of the best player advocates college football has ever had. Not a single big-name coach had the guts to stand up for players — for what’s right — except Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh’s stances led to his exit

Nick Saban testified in front of Congress but forgot to mention how he was one of the biggest cheaters around. Hell, he even admitted during the draft how his program tampered with opposing players.

Bama was probably smarter than Tennessee but they were all playing the same game and anyone denying that — well — are you interested in a timeshare?

The NCAA was determined to punish Jim Harbaugh because he took a stance. There is no other explanation for making a big deal about cheeseburgers when the whole Jaden Rashada fiasco was happening in the open.

It’s ironic how right Harbaugh was

Jim Harbaugh talked about how players deserved a piece of the TV money, and also how they should have rights to transfer.

Now that those are about to happen or are happening, it’s ironic that the man who essentially proposed all of these changes will be coaching in the NFL, in part because of the open hostility the NCAA had toward him.

Yes, Harbaugh was going to leave for the NFL eventually. But the NCAA quickened that exit and it’s a damn shame that one of the greatest player advocates the sport of college football has ever seen — at least for players — was vilified as some sort of bad guy.

Especially when he ended up being right about everything.
