Yesterday, Michigan football downed Bowling Green at the Big House in Ann Arbor. While the Wolverines’ 31-6 performance may look decent on paper, it was undoubtedly an ugly game for Michigan and its star quarterback, JJ McCarthy, who tossed three interceptions against the Falcons. On his third pick of the night, it appeared that McCarthy was aiming out of bounds, yet the ball didn’t quite get there — it was a throw that JJ says he is going to learn from.

JJ McCarthy had a few questionable throws yesterday, though his third interception appeared to be a ball that simply didn’t get out of bounds. After the game, the junior Michigan football star had a chance to explain what happened and how he plans on learning from it.

“Yeah, I tried to throw it away there,” JJ McCarthy said of his third pick against Bowling Green. “But I mean, I’ve actually had practices in the past where I just make it too close exactly like that. And this one’s gonna be a perfect lesson to learn from, and it’s never gonna happen again. I’m gonna throw that in the 300 level.”

All said and done yesterday, JJ McCarthy helped lead the Wolverines to a Week 3 victory despite a subpar performance. McCarthy went 8/13 against Bowling Green, totaling 143 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions during the win.
