It is finally the official visit season for the 2024 Michigan football recruiting efforts, which should bring more commitments and good news for the Maize and Blue throughout the month. One of the Wolverines’ top targets, four-star cornerback Boo Carter, set a decision date over the weekend, and it’s fast approaching. Additionally, the Wolverines have been named finalists alongside four other notable programs.

Michigan football recruiting target Boo Carter announced decision date

Boo Carter is a name that all Michigan football recruiting fans likely know quite well by now. A number of the Wolverines’ top commits have been making a very public push for his commitment, and so far, it appears that Michigan still has its foot in the door. That being said, the Maize and Blue have fallen behind a few others in recent months, especially the Tennessee Volunteers, who currently lead according to the Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Boo Carter, a four-star athlete/cornerback and a major Michigan football recruiting target in the 2024 cycle, announced his decision date last weekend, setting it for June 17th at 8:00 PM. Save the date, Michigan fans, because the Wolverines are still in the running.

Wolverines a finalist, but need a big official visit next weekend

The five teams that Boo Carter will pick from when the time comes are Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Oregon, and Colorado. Of these teams, Tennessee (92.2%) has the best odds to land his commitment.

Despite appearing to have the lead over the rest, Tennessee’s spot at the top is not set in stone just yet. Michigan football recruiting has been trending in a solid direction with Carter as of late and will get a chance to make one final push next weekend during his official visit.

This means that next weekend will likely be a make-or-break visit for Jim Harbaugh and the 2024 class. Additionally, Carter claims that if he joins the Maize and Blue, his class will bring home a national championship to Ann Arbor.

“I have a great bond with the players and the commits and I feel like if I go there, we’ll win the natty,” Boo Carter said, according to ON3.
