Hardy Watts, one of the top interior offensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class, is focused on five programs and Michigan football is one of them.

The Wolverines are also going to host Watts, who is 6-foot-6, 290 pounds, out of Brookline, Massachusetts, for an official visit. Clemson, Duke, Wisconsin, and Boston College are the other programs that will receive official visits according to Chad Simmons of On3.com.

Watts visited Michigan football last month and he came away impressed.

“It was great,” Watts told The Wolverine after that March visit. “I had a great time meeting all of the staff. I had a great tour of the business school. It was amazing… The players stood out. I’ve been to a bunch of schools now and have gotten to see practices. The players came up to me and introduced themselves and talked to my mom. Players at other schools do that, but they actually stopped, talked to us, and sat down with us.

“The hospitality of the players themselves shows the quality of the team and the athletes that are being produced there. I got to spend some time with Trente Jones, who I idolize, and Kalel Mullings, who is also a Boston kid.”

Michigan football is trending up with 4-star OL Hardy Watts

Watts visited Clemson this spring too and that’s where he’ll visit first on June 2-4. Next up will be Wisconsin (June 7-9), Duke (June 14-16) and Michigan football (June 21-23). The Boston College visit isn’t scheduled yet.

Regardless, the Wolverines have momentum and according to the On3 prediction machine, they are in the lead. There haven’t been any expert projections yet or crystal balls, but Michgan has a 56 percent chance to win his commitment, which feels pretty accurate.
