The nation is clamoring about five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood from Belleville High School, located approximately 20 minutes from Ann Arbor, MI. The Wolverines’ 2024 class is taking off, and progress is also being made in the 2025 class, as Michigan football seems to be in a very favorable position with the top-ranked recruit in the country. With Kirk Campbell, Michigan’s new quarterbacks coach, making regular headlines with his impressive recruiting and development tactics, the future of Maize and Blue QBs is looking up.

Michigan football in best shape to land No. 1 recruit in the country

First off, there is still a significant amount of time left in Bryce Underwood’s recruitment, as he is a five-star quarterback target for Michigan football and currently the No. 1 recruit in the country according to the ON3 rankings. That being said, Jim Harbaugh and his team currently lead in the RPM standings and have been making waves with Underwood during visits and more.

Michigan football already boasts two elite quarterbacks in the program: JJ McCarthy, the current starter, and Jadyn Davis, the five-star QB commit in the 2024 class. If the Wolverines also land Bryce Underwood, they could potentially have three consecutive five-star QBs leading the way in Ann Arbor.

Bryce Underwood has made no effort to conceal his overwhelming interest in the Michigan football program since his recruitment started gaining momentum. According to Underwood himself, he frequently engages in conversations with Kirk Campbell about various topics, not just football and the Wolverines’ program. In addition to the coaching staff, numerous other top Michigan recruits and targets have been in contact with Underwood, which could be yet another positive sign for the future.

While his recruitment is still in its early stages, Michigan football currently appears to be in the best position to secure the commitment of the No. 1 recruit in the country for the 2025 cycle.
