Despite Ryan Day’s efforts, Michigan still in the lead for 5-star Jadyn Davis

Over the past few weeks, Ohio State has been trying to poach 5-star quarterback Jadyn Davis from Michigan’s grasp. Nonetheless, the Wolverines are still favored to land this major recruit.

Over the past few weeks, Ohio State has been trying to wedge itself between Michigan and 5-star quarterback prospect Jadyn Davis. Despite Ryan Day’s and his staff’s efforts, the Wolverines are still the favorite to land Davis in the 2024 class.

Michigan hot on the trail for Jadyn Davis

Right now, the Wolverines appear to be firmly in the lead for Davis despite Ohio State’s recent attempt to regain momentum on his recruiting trail. The Buckeyes recently saw the No. 1 overall prospect (No. 1 overall QB) de-commit shortly after Jim Harbaugh crushed the Buckeyes, 45-23, in Columbus.

Davis would obviously be a massive addition to Michigan’s 2024 recruiting class — a class that ranks in the top 10 right now according to the Rivals Network. All three major recruiting networks — On3, 247, and Rivals — rank Davis as a 5-star prospect. Additionally, Davis is the No. 20 player nationally, the No. 3 quarterback, and the No. 1 player in North Carolina in the 2024 recruiting class. (247)

Harbaugh takes over recruitment, Michigan leads in crystal balls

As Davis’ primary recruiter, Matt Weiss, was recently fired from the Michigan football program, Jim Harbaugh has taken over the 5-star’s recruitment. Despite Weiss being fired, the Wolverines still lead in crystal balls and have seemingly not missed a beat on the recruiting trail.

According to 247 Sports, Michigan football has five crystal balls, all of which have Davis heading to Ann Arbor, MI.

On3 is also high on Michigan to land Jadyn Davis, as they give the Wolverines an 88.2 percent chance to land Davis. Additionally, the Rivals FutureCast gives U-M a 100 percent chance to haul in the 5-star quarterback by the end of the 2024 cycle.
