The NFL Draft is fast approaching, and it comes as no surprise that the reigning Big Ten Champions lead the Big Ten in NFL Combine invites. The Wolverines, who are sending nine players to the Combine this year, have one more than the second place team, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Michigan football sending nine players to the NFL Combine
After finishing the 2022 season with a 13-1 record (10-0 Big Ten) and massive wins over Michigan State (29-7), Penn State (41-17), Ohio State (45-23), and Purdue in the Big Ten title game (43-22), Michigan football has a good amount of talent transitioning from college to the NFL.
It speaks volumes that Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan football program leads the Big Ten in NFL Combine invites AND in returning production from the 2022 team. The Wolverines are poised to make another title run this fall despite having more NFL-ready players than any other team in the conference. Here are the nine Wolverines that are heading to the Combine this year:
- Ronnie Bell, wide receiver
- Ryan Hayes, offensive line
- Jake Moody, kicker
- Mike Morris, defensive end
- Olu Oluwatimi, offensive line
- Brad Robbins, punter
- Luke Schoonmaker
- Mazi Smith, defensive line
- DJ Turner, defensive back
