All off-season, Michigan football recruiting has been on fire, and it doesn’t look like it will slow down any time soon. Over the years, Jim Harbaugh has struggled to pick up five-star prospects, but that could be a thing of the past. Already, Michigan football has one five-star in the class of 2024 and could be on the way to gaining a second in the form of five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott.

Michigan football recruiting: five-star Justin Scott has his eyes on the Wolverines

Talent attracts talent. It’s how things work in college football, and Michigan football appears to know this. Recently, five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott expressed some admiration for the Wolverines’ class of 2024.

Having players like Jadyn Davis and Blake Frazier in the class immediately puts the world on notice. It appears to be gaining the attention of other top players in the country.

Scott is one of the best players in the country. He’s currently ranked as the No. 13 player in the country and the No. 3 defensive line prospect. If he were to join the 2024 Michigan football recruiting class, he would become the best player in the group. Not to mention, he’d only be adding to what is already ranked as the No. 1 class in the country.

As things stand, Miami and Notre Dame are leading for Justin Scott and his talents. Still, Jim Harbaugh is no stranger to stealing recruits from schools like Notre Dame. It shouldn’t come as a surprise if he were to succeed yet again. Plus, with momentum like this, Michigan football recruiting should be in consideration for just about every top recruit in the country.

This could become the norm for Michigan football

In the last two seasons, Michigan football has become a national power. They are two-time reigning Big Ten Champions and have competed in the College Football Playoff each of the last two seasons. Now, recruits are taking notice of Jim Harbaugh and his Wolverine squad, and recruiting is following suit.

If Michigan football can continue its recent success, attention coming from players like Justin Scott and Jadyn Davis will follow. The Michigan Wolverines are building something special. It’s only natural that players want to be a part of it. As I said earlier, talent follows talent, which is coming to fruition for Michigan football recruiting.
