The NFL Draft has concluded, and Michigan football had a remarkable nine picks, leading the Big Ten. Although it may be too early to tell, PFF has recently published their top draft prospects for the 2024 NFL Draft, and Blake Corum, the star running back of Michigan football, made it in the top 25.

After suffering a season-ending injury against Illinois in Week 12 last season, Michigan football’s star running back, Blake Corum, will be returning to the sidelines in Ann Arbor this fall. He aims to have another All-American season and display his talents to potentially position himself as a first-round draft pick.

Corum’s exceptional speed, agility, and running skills made him a standout player in college football last season. Despite the mid-season injury, he managed to rush for almost 1,500 yards on 247 carries, scoring an impressive 18 rushing touchdowns, and even tie Michigan football’s single-game rushing record in 2022 by scoring five touchdowns in one game.

Before his injury, Corum played a critical role in leading the program to a perfect 10-0 record. Although his injury was a setback for Michigan football, the team still managed to defeat Ohio State in Columbus the following week, win the Big Ten title game against Purdue by 21 points, and almost reach the 2023 national championship game in Los Angeles. However, the Wolverines fell short in the playoff semi-final against TCU by six points.

Despite not being the largest running back, Pro Football Focus recognizes Blake Corum as one of the top players in his class, and it is possible that another Wolverine will be selected in the first round of next year’s draft.
