ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Michigan Wolverines recently played their spring game, which served as the fans’ first look at the 2023 roster ahead of the season opener this fall. With the loss of former WR1 Ronnie Bell, JJ McCarthy and the Michigan football offense will need to find some new pass-catching options this year; keep an eye on this Michigan football true freshman breakout wide receiver as a possible candidate to step up for the offense.

The Wolverines’ offense is looking better than ever under Jim Harbaugh heading into the 2023 season. With new transfer additions and some crucial depth, there might not be a team in the nation stopping Michigan football when it comes to the offensive side of the football; however, there are still some questions out wide. With JJ McCarthy under center and the nation’s best offensive line/running back duo around him, teams will be forced to play looser coverage on Michigan’s wideouts, meaning spring ball breakouts like Fredrick Moore will have a chance to shine.

During the Wolverines’ spring game on April 1st, Moore shinned, hauling four receptions on five targets for 62 yards for the ‘Blue’ team. The potential is clearly there for him to have a breakout season this fall.

Who is this standout true freshman?

Fredrick Moore is a freshman wide receiver for the Michigan football team — he stands at 6-foot-1, weighs in at 176-pounds as a true freshman, and dons the No. 82 jersey during his first season in Ann Arbor.

As a high school recruit in the Wolverines’ 2023 recruiting class, Fredrick Moore was rated as a three-star recruit by every major outlet and was ranked as the No. 552 player in the class, the No. 81 wide receiver, and the No. 13 player in the state of Missouri (according to On3). Despite being one of the most underrated receivers in the class, Moore is gearing up for a tremendous freshman season in the Maize and Blue and is a name that all fans should know ahead of the fall opener in September.
