Michigan doesn’t have a quarterback committed for 2025, but the staff is making sure they keep their guy in 2026. Four-star signal-caller Brady Hart (Cocoa High, Indialantic, FL) committed to the Wolverines in June prior to his junior season. Hart competed in the first round of playoffs last weekend, and he got a visit from Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell.

Hart told On3 ($) that he’s developed a relationship with Moore and Campbell that extends beyond the gridiron.

“It means a lot,” Hart said of the visit. “They could go anywhere in the country, and they came here for Round 1. It’s pretty special for those guys to come out here. They are like family now. I’m so comfortable with them. I really trust them and think highly of them.”

Michigan lost its only committed quarterback for 2025 (Carter Smith) largely because of its pursuit of No. 1 recruit Bryce Underwood. The Wolverines offered Underwood a large NIL package, but it didn’t seem to make him budge. Hart said he wasn’t worried about the program going all-in on a different quarterback.

“It’s whatever is best for the program,” Hart said. “I’m not afraid to go in and compete with anybody. Whatever happens, happens. I’m just stoked for the program and the recruiting momentum.”

NIL is an important piece of the Underwood conversation, but Hart said he’s more about ball than benjamins.

“It’s the new age of college football,” Hart said. “But I’ll never make a decision off money. It’s about the people and the coaching staff that can get me to where I want to go and help our team win.”

As it turned out, one of Hart’s teammates had the staff’s attention last weekend as well. The Wolverines offered four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs the opportunity to keep playing with Hart in Ann Arbor. Hart said he’s going to do his best to bring Boggs with him.

“Jayvan is an excellent player and even better person,” Hart said. “He’s a great route runner and just a flat out gamer. I’m going to recruit him hard over these next couple weeks.”
