As of late, the 2024 Michigan football recruiting class has been gaining all kinds of momentum. After the Michigan Wolverines hosted a number of the nation’s top recruits last weekend, it appears as if Michigan is gearing up for a wave of huge commitments over the spring and summer. Earlier this week, a 247 Sports Texas football insider put in a crystal ball for Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines to land a four-star Texas running back.

Texas football insider predicts Michigan to land four-star running back Taylor Tatum

According to 247 Sports, Taylor Tatum is a four-star running back prospect from Longview High School in Longview, TX. Tatum is ranked as the No. 36 player in the nation, the No. 3 running back in the 2024 class, and the No. 6 player in the state of Texas.

Tatum has a long offer list, including many of the nation’s top brands and programs. Schools like Alabama, Michigan, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, and many more are pursing the four-star running back. Still, Mick Roach of Texas 247 says that the talented 2024 Texas prospect will be heading to Ann Arbor.

Despite this, a few other top recruiting sites such as On3 claim that the leaders in Tatum’s recruitment are all in-state schools like Texas, Baylor, and Texas A&M. Only time will tell here, but this is great news for the Wolverines — now, the ball is in Jim Harbaugh’s corner to finish the job and ink Tatum’s commitment.
