Later this month, the top Michigan basketball transfer portal target will be in Ann Arbor for a visit with the Wolverines. For Juwan Howard, getting talent like Jose Perez on campus is a massive step towards finalizing the 2023-24 roster, which aims to bring the Maize and Blue back into Big Ten and national contention following an NIT season last winter.

Today, top Michigan basketball transfer portal target Jose Perez confirmed that he will be visiting Ann Arbor from July 28th-30th, putting the Maize and Blue in great shape to land a new transfer commit ahead of the upcoming season.

West Virginia transfer Jose Perez will take an official visit to Michigan from July 28-30.

After losing Hunter Dickinson and Caleb Love to the portal over the offseason, the Wolverines have needed to heavily focus on the transfer portal to replenish Juwan Howard’s roster for a vital season in the program’s success down the stretch.

The top teams currently pursuing Jose Perez are Michigan basketball, Gonzaga, and West Virginia. Furthermore, new reports suggest that Xavier is also entering the competition in Perez’s recruitment, intensifying the already heated race for this 6-foot-5 WVU transfer.

After missing the NCAA tournament for the first time since the 2015 season, Michigan basketball aims to add more key pieces throughout the offseason in hopes of making a comeback to the top in the months to come.
