2026 No. 1 recruit includes Michigan football in top six

Michigan football flipped and signed 2025’s No. 1 recruit quarterback Bryce Underwood just a few months ago, and it’s already in line for another gem. 2026’s top recruit offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell has the Wolverines in his top six, as first announced by On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The other five schools include Georgia, Miami, Missouri, Ohio State and Oregon.

Michigan football among top six for No. 1 recruit Jackson Cantwell

The five-star Nixa (MO) High recruit is ranked as the top player in the country with a rating of 98.8, per On3 industry rankings. Cantwell is listed at 6-foot-8, 305 pounds.

As a junior last season he recorded 158 pancake blocks and allowed zero sacks. His team finished with a record of 13-1 and took second place in the state of Missouri (6A). On3’s recruiting prediction machine gives Missouri the best chance to land Cantwell at 22.3 percent.
