In just a few minutes here, the undefeated Wolverines (7-0, 4-0 Big Ten) will be taking on the Michigan State Spartans (2-4, 0-3 Big Ten) at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. Before the game, three notable Michigan football injuries were reported — the Maize and Blue will be without Karmello English (wide receiver), CJ Stokes (running back), and Kalel Mullings for this evening’s game.
3 notable Michigan football injuries against Michigan State
The Michigan football running back room is about to be tested, when it comes to depth, this evening against Michigan State. The Wolverines are without RB3 Kalel Mullings — a senior ball carrier who serves as Michigan’s “bruiser” — as well as CJ Stokes, who is also a key depth piece for Mike Hart and the team’s rushing attack.
Additionally, Michigan football is missing freshman wide receiver Karmello English, per today’s pre-game injury report. English hauled in his first touchdown pass as a Wolverine during Michigan’s 52-7 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers last weekend, and throughout fall camp, he was reportedly quite impressive.
While these injuries should not hinder Michigan football too much during today’s contest against the Michigan State Spartans, they are all worth keeping an eye on for Michigan fans tonight and in the weeks that follow.
