The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away, and according to ESPN’s Matt Miller, three of the top seven prospects donned the winged helmet. Additionally, Michigan is projected to have four players picked in the first round, which would be the most of any school.

Below is a breakdown of the ten Wolverines listed in the top 600 of Miller’s rankings.

Top ten Michigan prospects in NFL Draft

Mason Graham – DT

Ranking: 4

Mason Graham will likely be a favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year no matter where he lands. The ability to change a game from the interior of the defensive line is rare, and Graham has it in spades. He could end up being drafted as high as third overall, though the first two picks will likely be EDGE Abdul Carter (Penn State) and cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter (Colorado).

“Graham is my favorite trench player to watch. He’s a game-wrecker,” Miller wrote. “… He’s a Day 1 starter with a high rookie-impact grade.”

Colston Loveland – TE

Ranking: 6

Colston Loveland had to be WR1 for the Wolverines last season, and he did about as well as he could given their lackluster quarterback production. Earlier in the offseason he was projected to go late in the first round, possibly reuniting with Jim Harbuagh on the Los Angeles Chargers. Loveland is arguably the best tight end in this draft, and his athleticism gives him a high ceiling at the next level.

“His combination of size, strength and speed make him a true threat to beat man or zone coverage, and he can attack 50-50 balls in the air,” Miller wrote. “Loveland’s traits are on par with previous first-round tight ends.”

Will Johnson – CB

Ranking: 7

Though Will Johnson missed most of his senior season, the lockdown corner is regarded as one of the best prospects in the upcoming draft. His size and speed give him the ability to cover any kind of receiver, and he will be on the field as soon as possible for whichever team drafts him.

“He has the talent and traits to be a great NFL cornerback right out of the gate,” Miller wrote.

Kenneth Grant – DT

Ranking: 30

Kenneth Grant could’ve stayed in the shadow of Graham, but instead, he likely played his way into being a first round selection. Much like his trench-mate, Grant stuffs just about anything coming his way in the middle. He is another Wolverine likely to start from day one.

“Grant’s scheme fit as a true nose tackle might limit his value with some teams, but he is a plug-and-play starter over the center,” Miller wrote.

Josaiah Stewart – EDGE

Ranking: 88

Josaiah Stewart didn’t workout at the combine or Michigan’s pro day, which is likely why he isn’t ranked higher. He’s coming off a senior season in which he earned second-team All-Big Ten honors with team-highs of 13 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. Stewart also posted 33 tackles and two forced fumbles.

Myles Hinton – OT

Ranking: 213

Myles Hinton started ten games at left tackle for the Wolverines last season and was named to the Honorable Mention All-Big Ten team. He also started four games at right tackle in 2023 en route to Michigan’s national championship.

Donovan Edwards – RB

Ranking: 251

Donovan Edwards had an accomplished career with the Wolverines, including a team co-offensive rookie of the year award (2021), a Big Ten conference championship game MVP award (2022), and a 104-yard, two touchdown performance in the 2023 national championship game. Last season, Edwards was named as an All-Big Ten honorable mention.

Kalel Mullings – RB

Ranking: 254

Kalel Mullings played linebacker for two seasons, but as a senior he led Michigan with 948 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. He was named to the All-Big Ten honorable mention team last season, and he was one of the main factors in the Wolverines stunning Ohio State.

Josh Priebe – G

Ranking: 449

Josh Priebe started all 13 games at left guard for Michigan last season. He earned All-Big Ten third-team honors from the media, and the coaches voted him as an All-Big Ten honorable mention.

William Wagner – LN

Ranking: N/A

William Wagner is ranked as the No. 1 long snapper in the draft. He was named as a first-team All-Big Ten honoree last season by the coaches, and the media named him as an All-Big Ten honorable mention.
