Thomson has dominated in his senior season, including two wins and nine top-10 finishes. He currently has a career-best 70.09 scoring average, and it would break his single season program record of 70.56 from 2024. Thomson was named as a unanimous All-Big Ten first team selection for the second year in a row.

In the 2024 West Lafayette Regional, Thomson finished tied for 27th with a 218 (+2) on the week. He has never missed an event in his career, starting 42 straight.
