This is a big weekend for Michigan football on the recruiting trail, not only when it comes to the 2025 class, but in the 2026 class too.

That’s because four-star quarterback Brady Hart, who is arguably the top target on the board for the Wolverines at the position in 2026, will be on campus for a multi-day unofficial visit.

The visit was reported a few weeks ago and it caused some optimism on the Michigan side of things. Notre Dame felt like the favorite but the commitment of Noah Grubbs left things more wide open.

Michigan football needs to make a move with Brady Hart

Michigan football even got a low-confidence pick to land Hart from Mike Singer, who covers Notre Dame for On3. However, Singer has changed his pick to Clemson, and Tom Loy of 247 Sports put in a crystal ball projection for the Tigers.

Things can change quickly in recruiting though and according to what Hart told EJ Holland of The Wolverine, Michigan football has been recruiting him hard.

“Coach Campbell said he’s going to let Ann Arbor speak for itself. He’s really been on me lately,”  Hart said to Holland

Hart is 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, and ranked 92nd overall in the 2026 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s ranked seventh among signal-callers and would be another huge get for QB coach Kirk Campbell, who signed Jadyn Davis and got Carter Smith’s commitment.

We’ll see if the Wolverines can generate their own shift in momentum as Clemson just did. Hart is one of their top options and might be their best option all things considered but that won’t matter if he wins up committing to Clemson and this weekend could be key in making sure that doesn’t happen.
