Momentum in recruiting is a tangible thing and Michigan football is starting to feel it. The Wolverines have four commitments over the past two weeks and are hoping to add more this weekend.

Michigan football has 17 visitors coming to Ann Arbor for official visits. A new name was even added to the list and that’s four-star wide receiver Andrew Marsh.

Elite wideout Andrew Marsh visiting Michigan football

Marsh recently took an unofficial visit to Michigan football. But that seemed to make the Wolverines an active player in his recruitment again. Marsh is 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, and ranked 48th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Marsh is ranked 7th among wide receivers in the 2025 class. The elite prospect from Katy, Texas was expected to visit Oklahoma this weekend. However, according to Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider, Marsh has changed plans and will visit Ann Arbor for the second time in a few weeks.

You don’t know to be a recruiting expert to know that’s a good sign, especially since Marsh canceled his visit to Oklahoma. This is the final official visit weekend of June so it’s significant he’s visiting Michigan football instead of the Sooners.

USC, Washington, Texas, and Kentucky are all listed as “warm” on Marsh’s 247 sports profile. Michigan is listed warm too after scheduling the final official visit. There are no crystal ball projections yet so this recruitment is a tough one to read.

But Michigan has gotten him twice on campus in the past few weeks. The recruiting pitch is working and we’ll see if the Wolverines can turn this momentum with Marsh into a commitment.

There might not be a clear leader, but that doesn’t mean it will be easy to land a top-50 wide receiver — something Michigan hasn’t done in years.
