The stage is set, the draft is complete, and we have our two teams for the Michigan spring game on Saturday afternoon. The maize team was given the first pick of the spring game draft, and with it they chose incoming freshman, Andrew Babalola.

As an early-enrollee, Babalola is clearly making waves at Michigan already. He is expected to play left tackle on the offensive line, and with him being the first pick of the spring game draft, many fans’ expectations of the five-star recruit could be confirmed this weekend.

Babalola Was Highly Sought After With Only Two Seasons of Experience

At 6-foot-6, 300 pounds, Babalola is sure to be a beast on the line. He didn’t start playing football until his junior year of high school, basketball having been his sport before then. If his lack of experience was a deterrent for Babalola, he sure didn’t show it; he started on the offensive line at Blue Valley Northwest High in both his junior and senior years, and helped his team score a whopping average of 33.4 points per game.

Working with just two seasons’ worth of film to aid his recruitment, Babalola managed to earn himself a five-star ranking and was rated the number two offensive tackle prospect of his class by 247sports. He was also invited to play in the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl for the top 100 high school football players.

Fans are prepped and ready to watch the maize vs. blue game on Saturday, and Babalola will absolutely be the center of attention for many who are eager to see him in action at The Big House.
