Big Ten Media Days are this week in Indianapolis and that means that it’s time for the annual Big Ten Media poll. The Cleveland.com poll hasn’t come out yet, but there is another Big Ten Media Poll which was compiled by the Kings of North YouTube Channel.

It features media members from across the Big Ten Conference, which now has 18 teams with the additions of Oregon, Washington, UCLA, and USC. Michigan football will play USC and Washington this season as part of the Big Ten schedule.

Where Michigan football ranks in the Big Ten Media poll

That’s still hard to wrap my head around, but it’s the new era of college football. At any rate, the Wolverines weren’t projected by the Big Ten Media to win a fourth straight Big Ten title. Ohio State was the prediction of the media to the Big Ten. Oregon was picked second and Penn State came in third.

Michigan football was picked fourth by media members who cover the Big Ten. Voters also predicted whether or not teams would make the 12-team College Football Playoff. Every voter believes that Oregon and Ohio State will earn playoff bids this season.

64 percent of the voters predicted Penn State to make the playoff, while just 52 percent of the voters picked Michigan football.

We’ll see if they end up being right about that. The media has slept on Michigan football plenty in the past and the Wolverines will be aiming to prove them wrong again in 2024 as the defending national champs.
