NIL has drastically improved for Michigan football and one of the biggest reasons for that has been the Champions Circle.

The Champions Circle is the lead collective that works with Michigan Athletics. They were in charge of the “one-more year campaign” following the 2022 season, which was essential in getting guys like Blake Corum, Mike Sainristil, Kris Jenkins, and others to return to Michigan football for a run at the national championship.

That mission proved successful. Now, the Wolverines’ focus is defending that title.

A huge part of that effort was retaining the talent on the roster. Michigan football is projected by ESPN to have four first-round picks in the 2025 NFL draft and you can bet opposing teams were gunning for them with major NIL money.

But thanks in large part to the Champions Circle, Michigan football has a lot more NIL funding. That allowed the Wolverines to keep players like Donovan Edwards, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Colston Loveland, and Will Johnson, who have all signed NIL deals with the Champions Circle according to a press release. The collective has signed over 30 Michigan football players in total with more to come.

“Champions Circle, the lead NIL Collective and official partner of Michigan Athletics proudly announces the successful reloading of the Michigan football roster with the signing of over 30 players and more to come. Among these are some of the brightest stars in the sport including Donovan Edwards, Will Johnson, Colston Loveland, Mason Graham, and Kenneth Grant,” said the release. “This strategic move not only fortifies Michigan football’s lineup but also underscores Champion Circle’s commitment to ensuring Michigan remains the leaders and best.”
