Last Friday, Michigan Offensive Coordinator, Chip Lindsey, extended an official offer to class of 2026 quarterback Nathan Bernhard. The Ohio native has garnered the interest of a handful of Big Ten powerhouses, as well as a number of other schools across the nation. A three star recruit, Bernhard has accumulated about a dozen offers from D1 Universities heading into his senior season at Ashland High.

During his Junior season, Bernhard led his team to a 12-1 finish, threw for 2,895 yards with only four interceptions, and rushed for 1,221 yards, resulting in a total of 46 touchdowns. With one more season to further develop his game before coming to the next level, Nathan Bernhard has some serious potential.
Bernhard is Gearing Up For a Big Decision Following a Visit to Columbus
Bernhard is set for an on-campus visit to Ohio State tomorrow. Growing up in Ohio, he’s no stranger to the rivalry, and he is not taking the decision lightly. It is likely that Bernhard will commit to one of the two Big Ten schools, and tomorrow’s visit to Columbus is sure to inform his decision.
If Ryan Day loses Bernhard to Sherrone Moore, that will surely be a blow to the Buckeyes’ recruiting and overall efforts to regain some desperately-needed footing in the rivalry. Given their last win over the Wolverines was before COVID, Ryan Day certainly cannot afford another recruiting loss.

Nathan Bernhard is expected to make his decision closely following his visit to OSU, the announcement of which will ideally come in time for the spring game on April 19th.
