Indiana WR Transfer Donoven McCulley commits to Michigan

Listed at 6-foot-5, McCulley will give the maize and blue much needed assistance in the size department. In 2023, the Indiana native led the Hoosiers in receptions (48), yards (644) and touchdowns (6). In a 52-7 loss to Michigan, McCulley even threw a 44-yard touchdown. He played in just two games this season, accumulating two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown before he entered the portal in October.

McCulley has above average hands and the capability of creating separation at the top of his routes. He won’t be running by many defensive backs, but McCulley should be an immediate threat in the red zone. Having shown the ability to throw the ball, he also opens up opportunities for trick-plays.

McCulley has a chance to be WR1 as he enters a Wolverine wide receiver room lacking playmakers over six feet tall. The senior will have the option of using a redshirt in 2025. Assuming health, McCulley has the frame to be a quarterback’s best friend.
