Aaron Scott, the top-ranked player in Ohio for the 2024 recruiting class, is nearing his commitment announcement. The competition appears to be primarily between Michigan football and the Ohio State Buckeyes, the two prominent programs in the Big Ten conference. In an intriguing development, Charles Woodson, a legendary figure from the prestigious past of Michigan football, who secured the 1997 national title and the university’s most recent Heisman Trophy, recently delivered a new recruiting pitch to Scott ahead of his impending decision.

Yesterday, Aaron Scott shared recruiting photos of himself wearing Ohio State’s uniform, taken during his official visit with the Ohio State Buckeyes. It’s no surprise that the Scarlet and Gray have been making a strong push for Scott’s commitment. He is highly regarded, ranking as the No. 39 player in the nation, the No. 4 cornerback in his class, and the No. 1 player in Ohio, according to ON3.

When Charles Woodson saw Scott’s post, he had a message of his own. He posted a picture of Scott wearing the Maize and Blue and added the caption “Go Blue,” tagging Scott in the post.

If Michigan football wants to make a successful late push for Aaron Scott, the program can use all the help it can get. His commitment date is set for July 4th. If the Wolverines manage to sway him from Ryan Day’s Buckeyes, it could become the biggest recruiting win of Jim Harbaugh’s tenure in Ann Arbor.
