Michigan players ready to take the field for the game against USC at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024.

Eight months after winning the National Championship, Michigan football is still in the spotlight. Through four weeks, all four of the Wolverines’ games finished inside the top 25 most-watched Big Ten games, including two of the top three.

The most-watched game of the season was hosted by Michigan when Texas rode into Ann Arbor and left with a 31-12 win on September 7. Almost 9.2 million people tuned in. The game was broadcast on FOX at noon, and the network’s most popular college football pregame show, Big Noon Kickoff, aired on the field in the big house.

The Big Ten game with the third-most viewers so far was the Michigan and USC matchup on Saturday. This time there was an audience of 6.3 million people watching as the Wolverines edged out the Trojans 27-24.

Ranked No. 12 on the list, Michigan’s 30-10 win over Fresno State on NBC brought in just over 2.5 million viewers on August 31. Rounding out the list for the Wolverines and ranked No. 21 is their 28-18 victory over Arkansas State on September 14, which attracted an audience of 979,000 people on the Big Ten Network.
