HOUSTON — It’s finally here! the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines and No. 2 Washington Huskies are about to face off in the National Championship Game; it’s also the final title game of the four-team CFP era and the last college matchup before the Huskies move to the Big Ten next fall. OUT

There are three players listed out for Michigan football today: freshman running back Cole Cabana, All-American offensive lineman Zak Zinter, and sophomore defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny. Both sustained leg injuries towards the end of the Wolverines’ run — Zinter went down against Ohio State, and Benny was injured against Alabama last week.

It’s unclear what happened with Cole Cabana, but the freshman RB will not see action in today’s game.

QUESTIONABLE

Defensive back Quinten Johnson, a key depth piece for Jesse Minter’s elite Michigan football defense, may or may not see action today. He’s listed as “questionable” just hours before the National Championship Game — it’s unclear what his injury is or his status for today’s game.
