The recruiting BBQ at the end of July is always an important event for Michigan football recruiting and it’s shaping up to be another critical weekend for the Wolverines.

In the 2025 class, it provides the Wolverines a final chance to close before the fall. That could be four-star wideout Andrew Marsh who took an official visit to Michigan at the end of June. He’s expected to take an unofficial visit for the BBQ.

That’s a good sign in my book, especially with chatter that Marsh could decide earlier than November according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider. The 6-foot-1, 173-pound receiver from Texas has visited Michgan seven times already.

Key targets visiting for Michigan football recruiting BBQ

If Marsh decides in August, after visiting Michigan football in June and July, you have to feel good about where Michigan stands. Landing Marsh would be massive. We have talked about that already, but another four-star wideout is going to visit that weekend according to Brice Marich of The Michigan Insider and that’s Jerome Myles, who just de-committed from Ole Miss.

Myles is 6-foot-2, 205 pounds out of Corner Canyon, Utah and he’s ranked No. 133 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s ranked as a five-star by 247 Sports and there are a bunch of contenders for Myles but getting him to visit is important.

Nate Marshall, a four-star commitment of Michigan football will also visit according to Marich which makes me feel even better about his recruitment after Auburn was making a strong push. There are a bunch of 2026 recruits coming too and even though things are getting better in 2025, the 2026 class could be elite.
