Michigan football really is on fire on the recruiting trail. After landing three commitments in the past week, including one in the top 100 in the 2025 class, it feels like the biggest recruiting win is still to come.

Four-star quarterback Brady Hart, who is ranked No. 92 overall in the 2026 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and seventh among quarterbacks, has been projected to commit to Michigan football by a host of experts from all three major recruiting sites.

EJ Holland of The Wolverine put in an expert projection for Hart to land with the Wolverines after the 6-foot-4, 190-pound quarterback from Cocoa, Florida, told Holland his visit to Michigan was “spectacular.”

The 2026 quarterback took a multi-day visit over the weekend to Ann Arbor. Notre Dame was the previous favorite but after Noah Grubbs committed to the Irish, it opened the door for U-M. Clemson was given a crystal ball last week, but all of the crystal balls are now in Michigan’s favor — all four of them.

Holland of On3 and Josh Henschke of Rivals have also put in expert projections for the elite quarterback, who was just offered by Ohio State on Monday, to commit to the Wolverines.

When could a commitment happen?

Another quarterback who was supposed to visit canceled and it seems like Hart to Michigan is going to happen. The Wolverines need to lock down the commitment while they have momentum. Notre Dame, Texas, Georgia, and other schools have already got 2026 QB commitments, so there isn’t as much time as one might think.

Hart would be the perfect quarterback for the Wolverines and his name doesn’t hurt either. Kirk Campbell has been a star on the recruiting trail — landing Carter Smith and Jadyn Davis.

It seems like he might reel in another big fish and if he does, it will be hard for the rivals to say that Michigan football isn’t recruiting at a high level

And it feels like Sherrone Moore is just getting started.
