In the midst of the Bryce Underwood saga, Michigan football has been building its 2025 recruiting class into one of the best in the country. Since September the Wolverines have gotten commitments from a five-star offensive tackle and multiple four-star recruits. Tom Loy of 247Sports released a ‘Crystal Ball’ prediction on Wednesday that has 2025 four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng (IMG Academy, FL) joining the maize and blue.

Michigan Predicted to Land Top LB Recruit

Owusu-Boateng is ranked as the No. 1 linebacker in the country on Rivals, and his lowest positional ranking across the industry is No. 30 from On3. On3’s recruiting prediction machine (RPM) still has Notre Dame and Florida above Michigan, but Loy reported that he was told nothing is going to keep Owusu-Boateng from committing to Michigan.

According to Loy, a school would have to “shake things up” in order to keep Owusu-Boateng out of Ann Arbor. Michigan has had five linebackers drafted over the past five years, which is the same amount as Notre Dame and Florida combined.

The Wolverines currently have just one linebacker committed for 2025 in three-star recruit Chase Taylor (Stockbridge, GA). On3 has Michigan’s 2025 recruiting class ranked third in the Big Ten and tenth in the country.
