Michigan defensive lineman Kenneth Grant (78), left, warms up with defensive lineman Mason Graham (55) before the Oregon game at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024.

Michigan football had 13 players selected in the 2024 NFL draft. It marked the third-most to be taken from one school in the history of the draft. They may not reach double digits in 2025, but CBS Sports released a mock draft on Thursday that has four Wolverines going in the first round.

Here is where every the top four Wolverines were projected to go, along with a brief explanation:

Mason Graham – Round 1, Pick 5 – Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags will have a new head coach in 2025, so Graham would be a safe pick. Jacksonville needs the best player it can get, aside from a receiver or quarterback. Brian Thomas Jr. was third in the NFL in receiving yards (1,282) as a rookie in 2024, and the Jags tied their own hands with quarterback Trevor Lawrence’s contract.

Will Johnson – Round 1, Pick 8 – Carolina Panthers

In 2021, the Panthers used the same pick for cornerback Jaycee Horn (South Carolina). Horn has battled through injuries, so Carolina might choose to pair him with another top talent in Johnson.

Kenneth Grant – Round 1, Pick 20 – Denver Broncos

The Broncos could lose defensive tackle DJ Jones in free agency, and Grant would fill that hole nicely. With Bo Nix at quarterback, Denver will likely try to build on both the offensive and defensive lines in the near future.

Colston Loveland – Round 1 , Pick 25 – Los Angeles Chargers

Loveland is set for a reunion with head coach Jim Harbaugh. The Chargers are in need of weapons outside of Ladd McConkey, especially at the tight end position. Loveland could step in and immediately be a top target for quarterback Justin Herbert.
