Yesterday, one of the biggest high school football outlets in America — MaxPreps — gave Michigan football quarterback commit Jadyn Davis (2024 recruiting class) a major honor. Per MaxPreps, Davis is this year’s North Carolina High School Football Player of the Year; an impressive feat for the four-star Wolverine, further adding to the hype surrounding his potential for Jim Harbaugh’s programs in the years to come.

Jadyn Davis is perhaps the most-hyped commit in the 2024 recruiting class for Michigan football. When he first pledged to the Maize and Blue back in March, he was a composite five-star, though he has since dropped to four-star status.

That said, Jim Harbaugh and his coaching staff are still thrilled about adding Davis to their 2024 recruiting class, and rightfully so. On top of his incredible stats this fall, Davis appears to be the leader of Michigan’s coming class, and could be the future of the program, following in the footsteps of JJ McCarthy, who has done nothing but win since getting to Ann Arbor in 2021.

Yesterday, MaxPreps announced that the 2024 Michigan football quarterback commit is their 2023 North Carolina High School Football Player of the Year — an incredible honor for the future Michigan QB. The recognition comes after Davis threw for 3,370 yards and 43 touchdowns this fall, completing nearly 71 percent of his passes along the way.

On top of his impressive stats, Jadyn Davis is ranked as the No. 7 quarterback in the nation for the class of 2024, according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
