Last weekend, even though the Michigan State Spartans were hiding their signals and all, the Wolverines walked into East Lansing and crushed MSU 49-0. By the middle of the third quarter, Jim Harbaugh had thrown all of his backups into the game; in fact, at the end of the game, many players who usually do not see snaps were running the offense. One such player is Michigan football quarterback Alex Orji, who seems to have offended Michigan State coach Harlon Barnett with his late-game touchdown.

With just a few seconds remaining in the Michigan State-Michigan football matchup, the Wolverines punched in yet another touchdown — it was a short scramble from sophomore quarterback Alex Orji, who usually does not get to see the field.

While Michigan’s blowout win was impressive, it seems that this late touchdown rubbed Michigan State interim coach Harlon Barnett — who is 0-5 since taking over for the now-fired Mel Tucker — the wrong way.

“I told our guys on the headsets, I said, ‘They’re gonna try — they’re trying to score,’” Barnett said during his Monday press conference. “I’m not surprised, not surprised. Not at all.”

“(I will) definitely (remember Michigan’s late touchdown),” he added. “I always remember. I’m gonna remember everything about that game.”

As Harlon Barnett looks for his first win as the head coach at Michigan State this weekend, Michigan football gets a bye week before facing Purdue in Week 10.
