Michigan football is all-in on winning a national championship. After a disappointing end to the 2022 season, numerous Michigan football stars decided to return for a senior or graduate season to make another push for a national championship, including star running back Blake Corum. Recently, Corum doubled down on his bold take that this season is “natty or bust.”

Michigan football star running back doubles down on “natty or bust” statement

The past three years of Michigan football have been some of the program’s finest, with three straight Big Ten championships and College Football Playoff appearances to show for it. However, this year’s team is looking to break the cycle of getting eliminated in the semifinal round. In fact, Michigan’s star running back Blake Corum, who set multiple program records this year, believes that this year’s team is ready to win it all.

Earlier this year, Corum used the phrase “natty or bust” to describe the mentality heading into this season. When recently asked about his earlier statement, he doubled down. “I said it at the beginning of the year, for me, it’s natty or bust. We’re that close. We have to find a way to get over that hump, and I think we will.”

Corum added, “I think we have the recipe, so now it’s just about being where our feet are these next couple of days until we get to (California). And when we get into (California), still being where our feet are until January 1st, and just making sure we’re precise, and we can’t make any mistakes. But yeah, I still stand on what I said.”

Michigan is set to face a tough Alabama team in this year’s Rose Bowl for a chance to play for a national title. Kickoff in Pasadena is set for 5:00 PM EST this New Year’s Day.
