Following the conclusion of the 2022 season, a year in which Michigan football won the Big Ten, made the College Football Playoff, and more, former Maize and Blue captains Erick All and Cade McNamara both hit the transfer portal. Both of these former Wolverines ended up staying within the Big Ten, choosing the Iowa Hawkeyes — the team they beat in the 2021 Big Ten title game by a score of 42-3 — as their new home. According to All, he is “in heaven” with his new team.

Erick All and the Michigan football program did not exactly leave off on good terms; however, there are still a number of Wolverines fans who want to see him succeed with the Iowa Hawkeyes throughout the coming season. Recently, Erick All spoke to the media about his transition from Michigan football to Iowa, and it is clear that he is quite satisfied with his new home.

“Every time I step into the building, and I sit down with the guys, It’s just a bunch of humble dudes and like-minded guys that live the game,” All said, per David Eickholt. “… it seems like we’re in heaven right now.”

This season, Erick All and Cade McNamara are looking to lead the Iowa Hawkeyes back to the Big Ten title game for the first time since, you guessed it, the 2021 season, when they destroyed Iowa during their days with Michigan football.

If successful, there could be an incredible Big Ten title game matchup, pitting JJ McCarthy, Colson Loveland, and the Michigan Wolverines against Cade McNamara, Erick All, and the Iowa Hawkeyes against one another for the conference crown and more.
