Today, ON3 released its new ‘All-Transfer Portal‘ teams for offense, defense, and special teams. One major name that stood out was new Michigan football transfer LaDarius Henderson, who was added to the roster over the offseason. Henderson comes to Ann Arbor with an accomplished resume from his PAC-12 days with Arizona State, and should compete for a starting role along the Wolverines’ loaded offensive line this fall.

New Michigan football transfer named to ON3 ‘All-Transfer Portal’ squad

Michigan football did not have many roster holes ahead of the 2023 season; however, whatever outliers there may have been have been filled since the conclusion of the 2022 season. One area that Jim Harbaugh hit hard in the transfer portal was along his offensive line — a unit that has been breaking NCAA records by winning the Joe Moore Award in back-to-back seasons and more.

One of the bigger Michigan football transfer additions was LaDarius Henderson, who heads to Ann Arbor after a prestigious career with the Arizona State Sun Devils in the PAC-12. During his time out west, Henderson was a core member of ASU leadership and proved to be an all-conference caliber lineman for the Sun Devils, whose offensive line play was among the nation’s best in pass protection.

‘No-brainer’ committing to Michigan, says Henderson

Following his decision to commit to Michigan football via the transfer portal, Blue by Ninety had the chance to ask the senior lineman a few questions about his college decision. His reason for turning Maize and Blue is simple: the University of Michigan is “O-Line U,” and the decision was a no-brainer.

“I came back to college with the goal of raising my draft stock, which is something that I still intend on doing.” Henderson told Blue by Ninety. “But once I committed to Michigan my goals have gotten bigger. Help the guys will the Joe Moore Award three years in a row, and now, win the National Championship.”

Now, this ON3 All-Transfer Portal lineman will have a shot at earning a starting role on the nation’s best offensive line unit this fall.
