The Michigan Wolverines hockey team will have a new look in 2024-25. The program took to X on Wednesday afternoon to reveal their new jerseys for the upcoming season.
The jerseys feature the phrase Hail to the Victors, which stems from the University’s official fight song. It also includes the phrase Leaders and Best, another line from The Victors. Junior forwards Rutger McGroarty and T.J. Hughes modeled the new uniforms, along with senior defenseman Jacob Truscott.

Wolverines hockey aiming for fourth consecutive Frozen Four
The Michigan Wolverines will be without four of their top-six leaders in points scored from last season. Forwards Gavin Brindley and Frank Nazar, along with defenseman Seamus Casey, have all signed NHL contracts. Meanwhile, forward Dylan Duke signed an amateur tryout contract in the AHL after graduating.
Despite the departures, the Wolverines enter the 2024-25 season with high expectations. Michigan has reached the Frozen Four in each of the past three seasons. They have been unable, however, to get over the hump as they have failed to advance to the national championship.
The Wolverines will look to reach their fourth consecutive Frozen Four and 29th in program history. Their 28 Frozen Four appearances and 26 wins are both NCAA records. Meanwhile, Michigan ranks second in national titles with nine. That was the most in college hockey for decades, however, the Denver Pioneers recently surpassed them by winning their ninth title in 2022 and their tenth title last season. The Maize and Blue have the fourth-best odds, +950, to win the national championship.
