The Wolverines took a 3-2 lead in the third period of game one after a power play goal by freshman forward Will Horcoff. The Buckeyes tied it up about three minutes later, and eventually put the go-ahead goal in the net with less than 40 seconds left in the game.

Michigan went down 2-0 in the first 11 minutes of game two. However, Ohio State couldn’t bury for the rest of the game, and the Wolverines found the back of the net in each of the next two periods. Tied at 2-2, it took 20 seconds for Michigan to end the game in overtime with a goal from junior forward Jackson Hallum.

Freshman Michigan forward Michael Hage has the 14th most points in the country with 21 (11g, 10a) in 17 games. Junior forward T.J. Hughes has 18 points (6g, 12a) in 20 games this season. The Wolverines are set to face off with Notre Dame (6-13-1, 1-10-1 Big Ten) next on Jan. 10 and 11.
