Michigan men’s basketball (11-3, 3-0 Big Ten) came in at No. 24 in the AP poll on Monday. The Wolverines have rattled off three straight wins over the past few weeks, most recently beating USC 85-74 over the weekend. The maize and blue were ranked as high as No. 14 in the week six poll.

The Wolverines lost back-to-back games against Arkansas and No. 14 Oklahoma, respectively, and fell out of the rankings in mid-December. Michigan won its next three games by an average of 30 points, including a 112-64 shellacking of Western Kentucky on Dec. 29. Against USC on Saturday, every Wolverine starter scored in double figures, so they appear to be back on track.

Michigan is ranked 26th in the country in points per game (84.1). For the most part, turnovers and defensive breakdowns are what’s hindered the maize and blue. Michigan averages 15.1 turnovers a game, which is ranked 338th in the nation.

Forward Danny Wolf has been a consistent bright spot for the Wolverines. Wolf has seven double-doubles on the season, and only 10 Division I players have more.
