Michigan football is losing another offensive lineman as tackle Jeffrey Persi has entered the transfer portal, according to Tony Garcia of the Detroit Free Press. Persi has one season of eligibility remaining.

Michigan OT Jeffrey Persi opts to transfer

Persi was a four-star recruit coming out of J Sierra Catholic High (2020) in California. As a junior in 2022 he was part of a Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line. Persi earned Academic All-Big Ten honors three times (2021-22, 2024). In his career at Michigan Persi appeared in 38 games with three starts at left tackle.

As far as the future is concerned, the Wolverines could have two top-five offensive tackles from the class of 2025. Andrew Babalola was with the program at the ReliaQuest Bowl a few weeks ago, and fellow five-star recruit Ty Haywood recently decommitted from Alabama. Haywood has a visit scheduled with the Wolverines this weekend, according to Mike Roach of 247Sports.
