The long-awaited response from the NCAA following its investigation of Michigan football is finally here.
The NCAA officially delivered the Notice of Allegations against the Wolverines, first reported by Dan Wetzel.
According to an ESPN report from earlier this month, seven members of Michigan’s 2023 staff were accused of violating NCAA rules.
That list includes Stalions, former head coach Jim Harbaugh, current head coach Sherrone Moore, and former assistant coaches Jesse Minter, Steve Clinkscale, Chris Partridge, and Denard Robinson.
The Wolverines will have 90 days to reply to the NCAA. Stalions is set to make his first public comments on the matter in a Netflix documentary titled Untold: Sign Stealer, which releases on Tuesday.
What is Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore accused of?
Sherrone Moore is potentially facing a Level II NCAA violation.
The Wolverines head coach is accused of deleting 52 text messages with Connor Stalions in October 2023. He is considered a repeat offender of NCAA rules after previously facing punishment for the program’s recruiting violations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The deleted text messages between Moore and Stalions have since been recovered by the NCAA. The first-year head coach, who was the offensive coordinator at the time of the texts, has shared that he is looking forward to his messages with the former staffer being released.
