The Maize and Blue are just a few hours away from kickoff against Iowa here at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN, in a game that could be the Wolverines’ third straight outright Big Ten Championship for the first time in program history. Ahead of the game, a Michigan football injury report was released, featuring center Drake Nugent as “questionable” and more. Other names (below) include Will Johnson and, of course, Zak Zinter.
Michigan football injury report released ahead of Big Ten Championship Game vs Iowa
Michigan football and Iowa are about to square off in the Big Ten Championship Game, though the Wolverines could be without two of their top offensive linemen: Drake Nugent (center) and Zak Zinter (guard). Of course, as all fans likely know by now, Zak Zinter went down with a leg injury against Ohio State and was rushed to the hospital, where he received same-day surgery. Zinter will not be playing today or for the rest of the season.
Star center Drake Nugent questionable
Drake Nugent is a new name on the injury report, though, and has a few people concerned, given how big of a matchup the Wolverines are playing in this evening. Additionally, the College Football Playoff is right around the corner, and Michigan needs to have a healthy line to play its brand of football. For right now, Nugent is listed as questionable, meaning he may or may not see action against Iowa today.
UPDATE: For whatever it’s worth, Greg Crippen (Michigan’s backup center) is the only one taking reps at center with 83 minutes until kickoff. This does not necessarily mean that Nugent is out, but it’s worth noting.

On top of Zak Zinter (out) and Drake Nugent (questionable), Will Johnson (questionable) and Jimmy Rolder (out) are also listed on today’s Michigan football injury report for the Big Ten Championship matchup against Iowa.
