Mark Stoops, the head coach of Kentucky, was live on the Paul Finebaum Show when the Big Ten announced its suspension of Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh less than 24 hours away from the Wolverines’ bout against No. 10 Penn State tomorrow. Michigan will undoubtedly file an injunction, though for the time being, the Maize and Blue must find a way to overcome a top-10 team on the road without its long-time head coach.

“(The suspension will) definitely have an impact,” Mark Stoops said just now. “I think the nice thing that (Michigan football) has going for them is they have such a strong team, they have great coaches. Coach Harbaugh, I’m sure, has done a remarkable job leading them, and I’m sure that team will go fight for him because those players have done nothing wrong — I don’t know the ins and outs of that. I think for their sake, just hearing what you had to say right there, it’ll be good to get that over with, and move past it.

“I know that (Michigan football) has big aspirations,” Stoops added. “They’ve done a remarkable job. In a way, hopefully, they’ll serve that suspension and move past it.”

With or without Jim Harbaugh, Michigan football must find a way to overcome all that is going on and pick up a huge win over the Penn State Nittany Lions tomorrow at noon (ET) on FOX. Right now, the Wolverines are 4.5-point favorites, though ESPN and others have Michigan on upset alert.
