Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore has taken much of the drama out of recruiting. At least in the sense that when you see him post on X, you know a commitment is coming soon after.

That’s been the case so far this summer. Ahead of almost every key commitment for Michigan football, Moore has posted #GoBlue ahead a commitment. The Wolverines head coach was back at it on Sunday morning which would mean a commitment from a couple of different 2025 recruits.

Michigan football is on commitment watch

Two have decision dates coming up. Four-star tight end Andrew Olesh, who is ranked No. 121 overall and fourth among tight ends according to the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2025 class, is set to decide soon. There has been talk of a July 8th decision date but a commitment is always possible before then.

Another recruit set to announce a commitment this week is three-star wideout Phillip Wright. The Louisiana prospect has narrowed things down to Georgia, LSU, and Michigan. He visited Michigan and Georgia in June but Michigan football seems to be pushing harder than UGA.

The Wolverines have been trending as the leader. Wright’s commitment date is July 11th, but he could have informed the coaching staff on Sunday of his commitment. He’s 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, and runs the 100-meter dash in 10.6 seconds.

Wright is ranked No. 533 overall in the 2025 class. Things are still pointing toward good news there but as far as Moore’s post, it feels like good news with Andrew Olesh, which would be a major recruiting win for the Wolverines.
