With every game, it’s getting harder and harder to watch Michigan basketball. Sunday wasn’t necessarily rock bottom. That’s been this entire eight-game losing streak but after yet another lopsided loss (to Ohio State this time), Michigan basketball fans and analysts are demanding a change.

Michigan basketball fans take to social media

If you are on social media at all, there isn’t much debate about what Juwan Howard’s future should be. Former players, fans, analysts — just about everyone sees the need to make a change.

Earlier this week, known insider John U. Bacon posted on X that it was “more likely than not” that Juwan Howard would return to the Wolverines for another season as head coach. It wasn’t a popular report among Michigan fans and many feel it’s time for a change.

The Wolverines trailed Ohio State by just five points at halftime on Sunday before losing the game 84-61. Ohio State subbed out its starters with around three minutes left following a 20-2 run to ice the win. Michigan basketball players battled and I don’t want to criticize them, but their head coach has done a terrible job of putting them in a position to succeed. They have won five of their last 26 games. Next up is a home game against Nebraska on Saturday before the Big Ten tournament.
