ANN ARBOR, MI — Over the weekend, the Michigan Wolverines hosted some of the nation’s biggest recruits over a few different recruiting classes. Since the weekend has come to a close, Michigan football is starting to see a spike in crystal balls; on Sunday, a major crystal ball came Michigan’s way. According to 247 Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong, the Wolverines are expected to land a commitment from one of the top lineman in the nation: Blake Frazier, a major recruit from Texas.
Steve Wiltfong predicts that Michigan football will land Blake Frazier from Texas
Blake Frazier — the son of multi-time Big Ten Champion and one-time National Champion Wolverine Steve Frazier — is a major recruit out of Vandergrift High School in Texas. Additionally, Frazier is from Austin, TX, and brings a ton of size and skill to the table for whoever lands him.
According to the 247 Sports composite rankings, Blake Frazier is rated as a four-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 213 player in the 2024 class, the No. 13 offensive tackle in his class, and the No. 36 player in the state of Texas. Frazier stands at 6-5 and weighs in at 260-pounds heading into his senior season, making him the perfect size for an offensive tackle recruit — Ben Herbert can bulk him up once he gets to Ann Arbor, but the frame and potential is there.
Wiltfong, who is 74/74 on 2024 recruiting predictions thus far, placed his crystal ball on Sunday around 5:30 PM (EST). After winning back-to-back Joe Moore Awards and much more, the Michigan football program looks to sustain its dominant offensive line success by hauling in major lineman prospects like Blake Frazier — now, it’s time for Jim Harbaugh and his staff to seal the deal.
