Andrew Marsh committed to Michigan football

For the second time this month, Michigan football has earned a commitment from one of the best players in the Lonestar State, as elite wide receiver Andrew Marsh announced his commitment to play for the Wolverines.

Marsh chose Michigan over Kentucky, Texas, USC, and Washington. He held offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Tennessee, among others. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Marsh is ranked as the 10th best receiver in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports, and is one of the best players in the country regardless of position, coming in at 63rd overall.

What Andrew Marsh Means Brings to Michigan Football

Marsh is a very good athlete at the wide receiver position, showing great speed and the ability to high-point the football. His run-after-catch ability allows him to take underneath routes the distance and he’s able to run through arm tackles.

Depending on Michigan’s wide receiver production in 2024, Marsh could see the field and make an impact as a true freshman in 2025.

The Texas product is poised for a big senior season for Katy Jordan High School, coming off an impressive showing as a junior.

In 2023, he caught 65 passes for 1,158 yards and 15 TDs and added a punt return for a touchdown.

Thus far in his high school career, he has accumulated over 2,400 receiving yards and hauled in 31 touchdowns.

Michigan was the last of his five official visits this summer, giving the Wolverines the last impression in late June. Michigan hit a home run on his visit and subsequently, the predictions from the insider sites such as 247, On3, and Rivals began to roll in.

With Marsh’s commitment, Michigan now has five commitments in the 247Sports Top 100 and 13 247Sports Composite four-stars in its 2025 recruiting class, which now sits at number 12 in the team rankings.

What’s Next for the 2025 Recruiting Class?

This is a big win for wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy, giving the former UM receiver his highest-rated commit at the position since becoming the receivers coach in 2022.

In fact, Marsh is Michigan’s highest-rated wide receiver commit since five-star Donovan Peoples-Jones committed in the 2017 class.

With Marsh and Louisiana four-star Jacob Washington in the fold, Bellamy will look to add at least one more recruit to the fold. Utah five-star Jerome Myles was the top-target, with Michigan looking to be in contention after his visit for the BBQ at the Big House, but he recently released a top-five that omitted the Wolverines.

Outside of receiver, Michigan is quietly keeping tabs on numerous prospects, but the biggest target left on the board continues to be five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola, with all intel suggesting Michigan is battling Stanford for the Kansas native’s commitment. He is set to commit sometime in the next few weeks.
