Today, before Michigan football kicked off against Nebraska at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, NE, Urban Meyer appeared on Big Noon Kickoff where he took some time to shade the Wolverines’ schedule once again. Meyer has made his displeassure with Michigan’s schedule quite clear; however, his take about Nebraska seems to be hilariously bad so far, with the Wolverines leading 28-0 at halftime.
Urban Meyer shades Michigan football schedule
Here is what Urban Meyer said about Michigan football on Big Noon Kickoff this morning.
“The Wolverines have played a schedule that is not very good,” Urbam Meyer said of the 2023 Michigan football schedule. “You play bad schedules — I’ve been there before. You just don’t get better. If you’re the same team you were in September that you are in October, you’re not a very good team. I believe in Matt Rhule. I believe in Nebraska.”
Meyer thinks Nebraska will keep it close today
Before the game, Urban Meyer also stated that he is confident in Nebraska keeping today’s matchup close. Seeing as the Huskers are currently down by 28 points, it seems that the ex-Ohio State coach was not very tuned into how today’s game would go.
“We saw, they should have beat Minnesota,” Meyer continued. “If you don’t turn the ball over (against Colorado) a couple weeks ago, they’re right in that game. Don’t turn the ball over, let that 3-3-5 defense play, they’ve got good players on defense. I think it’s going to be a close game in Lincoln.”
There is still a half of football left in Lincoln before the Wolverines can shift their focus to Minnesota on the road next weekend. So far, today has been good for Michigan football, which appears to be catching its stride during Jim Harbaugh’s second game of the year.
