Michigan and the Big Ten announced the 2025 football schedule on Wednesday. The Wolverines have six games at home and six on the road. It will look much different than this season, wherein the maize and blue had eight games at the Big House including a five-game homestand to start the season.

Notable Games: 2025 Michigan Football Schedule

Michigan is set to open the season in the Big House with its first ever game against New Mexico on Aug. 30. The Wolverines follow it up with a road contest against Oklahoma.

It will mark the first time Michigan played the Sooners in Norman, and it will be just the second all-time meeting between the illustrious programs. The first and only time these teams played each other came in the 1978 Orange Bowl, with the Sooners coming out on top 14-6.

However, there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to the history between Michigan and Oklahoma, particularly for Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore. Moore was an offensive lineman for Oklahoma for two seasons (2006-2007). The Sooners went 22-5 while Moore donned the crimson and cream.

The first Big Ten game of the season will come on the road against Nebraska on Sept. 20. Other notable away games include USC (Oct. 11), Michigan State (Oct. 25) and Northwestern (Nov. 15 at Wrigley Field).

‘The Game’ will take place in Ann Arbor in 2025 (Nov. 29) as Michigan will look to beat rival Ohio State for the fifth year in a row.
